About Me: Why I started…
My name is Ashley Ruschell, founder of Bump to Baby Wellness. I grew up in Clarion, PA, and earned a degree in Fitness and Nutrition before moving to Chattanooga, TN, five years ago. After working as an EMT, I pursued a Master’s in Public Health at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and taught yoga and pilates at Southern Soul Yoga. I have always aimed to promote healthier communities through wellness.
Last year, I became a mom to my daughter and sought a postnatal program for recovery. I noticed a lack of support in prenatal and postnatal wellness—most programs promoted unrealistic "bounce-back" ideas that don’t fit busy moms. This highlighted the need for a more practical, sustainable fitness approach.
That’s how Bump to Baby Wellness started—a fitness program for moms focusing on functional movements, short workouts, and feeling strong in this new phase of life. We reject the "bouncing back" mindset and emphasize nurturing your body to feel its best. Whether lifting your child pain-free, jumping on a trampoline, or just moving during nap time, I’m here to support you.
